the WEDDING PARTY
We’re so excited to introduce the people standing by our side on our wedding day.
Each of them has played such an important role in our lives, and we feel incredibly lucky to celebrate with them. Thank you for loving and supporting us, this day wouldn’t be the same without you.
Callan
Callan has been Taylor’s right-hand since they met at 15 years old. Surviving dance competitions together has a way of bonding people but nothing quite compares to screaming All Too Well after leaving a party (slightly annoyed) and showing up the next day like nothing happened.
From those early years to university and beyond, Callan has been by Taylor’s side through every phase of life. Whether it’s travelling together, navigating big life moments, or just being there when it matters most, their friendship is built on a deep sense of trust, understanding, and few too many beers.
Callan is more than a best friend, she is truly family. Taylor couldn’t be more honoured to have her as Maid of Honour and standing beside her on one of the most important days of her life.
Maddy
Maddy and Taylor have been best friends since Pfahl’s Fabulous Fours (aka Grade 4). Taylor knew early on this was her person, especially after accidentally giving Maddy a bloody nose on the playground, and Maddy insisting to the teacher it “just happened” to keep her out of trouble.
Since then, they’ve grown up side by side, sharing every stage of life together. Maddy is truly like family to Taylor, and their friendship has always been easy, supportive, and full of fun. Taylor couldn’t imagine this day without her standing beside her.
Madi
Madi and Taylor met in Grade 5, where the foundation of a lifelong friendship began. Along with Maddy and Erin, they formed an inseparable group that has stood the test of time.
From high school memories of finding creative ways to avoid gym class to spending countless hours together growing up, their friendship has always been filled with laughter. Through every phase of life, Madi has been someone who brings comfort, care, and consistency. Their friendship is easy, supportive, and one Taylor will always be grateful for. Taylor is so grateful to have Madi by her side and couldn’t imagine this day without her.
Erin
Erin and Taylor became friends in Grade 5, but their years of dancing together truly sealed their bond. From backstage chaos to shared lipstick emergencies, they’ve been through it all, along with surviving woodworking class as the only two girls and somehow earning 100% on their very questionable toolboxes.
Erin is witty, bold, and always keeps things in line in the best way. Beneath it all, she is someone Taylor can always count on, bringing both honesty and laughter into every stage of life. Taylor is so grateful to have her standing by her side.
Katrina
Like any protective older sister, Taylor may have put Katrina through the ringer a little when she first started dating Connor but it didn’t take long to see just how kind, patient, and genuine she is.
A trip to Mexico, Katrina’s first with the family, was a turning point, full of laughs, bonding, and the moment Taylor knew she wasn’t just Connor’s girlfriend, but someone who truly belonged.
Over time, Katrina has become not just part of the family, but someone Taylor deeply values and cherishes. Getting the sister she always wanted (and soon two) is even better than she imagined, and Taylor is so excited to have her by her side on this special day.
Dennis
Rashard and Dennis met many moons ago in the hallowed halls of Harry Ainsley high school whereupon they became thick as thieves.
Self proclaimed “fun-gi” Dennis definitely knows how to have a good time ADHD notwithstanding. Ready with a quip Dennis is pal that everyone would want in their corner. Some of Rashard’s fav memories with Dennis include visits up to Banff when Dennis lived there for a few years.
With shared interests in sports, style, and memes, Dennis is truly like a brother to Rashard. He couldn’t be more honoured to have him standing by his side as Best Man on this special day. Consider this his lifetime invitation to the cookout.
Brett
Bleet, Beenis Hammy. Brett. Unlike the rest of the groomsmen, Rashard and Brett didn’t meet until post-secondary, but it felt like they had known each other their whole lives, truly a bromance at first sight.
You’d be hard-pressed to find someone with a bigger heart than Brett. He’s been an incredible friend and close confidant over the years. Many nights have been spent with Brett and Karah, alongside Taylor and Rashard, enjoying time together with their fur nieces and nephews and, of course, boneless pizza.
Fun fact: it was through Brett and Karah that Taylor and Rashard first met, making Brett the “Hitch” of this romance. Rashard is so grateful for his friendship and couldn’t imagine this day without him standing by his side.
Kyle
Kaaa, My child, Kank, Darth Kank. Kyle completes the four horseman of Harry Ainlay. As one of Rashard’s closest friends and a fellow “bird brother” (as per friendly relations between the Ravens and Seahawks), their bond runs deep.
Kyle can always be counted on to shoot you straight but do so with love. Whether it’s chopping it up about sports, anime, or the struggles of finding hats to accommodate large heads. Kyle is someone who Rashard can talk about anything and everything with and Rashard is so grateful to have him standing by his side on this special day.
Ian
iMac, Dr.Pine, Skelly or The Specimen. The last one is debatable but what can’t be debated is the friendship Rashard and Ian have shared for well over a decade after Meeting in the 11th grade at Ainlay.
Over the years, much of their time together has been spent debating the legacies of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, or trading jabs as AFC North rivals, much to the chagrin of those around them. If anything those arguments have only served to deepen their friendship over the years. If you like questions you’ll love Ian, there are few people that enjoying peppering quite like him. Rashard couldn’t imagine this day without him and is so grateful to have him standing by his side as a groomsman.
Braden
Beej, BJ, Platinum, Platty, Tino, Mr. Armenia. A man of many names and many games. While Rashard and Braden likely would have hit it off regardless, we have Hollister to thank for bringing them together. They were both wearing the same Hollister shirt when they crossed paths heading to class at Harry Ainlay and since have been steadfast friends.
There’s no such thing as a bad time with Braden, he keeps the mood light and loose. Whether it’s video games, drinking games, or anything in between, Rashard has countless memories of the two of them laughing and competing over the years. Thank You Braden for standing up with Rashard on this joyous day as one of his groomsmen.
Connor
Nadia
The wedding wouldn’t be complete without their siblings, Connor and Nadia, who are doing them the honour of being co-MCs, something everyone is equally excited (and slightly nervous) about.
Both Connor and Nadia have played a huge role in shaping who Taylor and Rashard are today. Taylor often says the greatest gift she ever received was her brother, even if she did ask to send him back when he was born in exchange for a sister. From childhood arguments to countless drives to hockey and school, those moments built a bond that she now cherishes deeply.
Having them take on this role means not only bringing laughter and personality to the day, but also sharing it with two of the most important people in their lives.
